Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Float, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

The service

Float is a macOS desktop application for file management. It runs entirely on your local machine — your files never leave your computer. Float watches folders you choose, displays recent files, and provides tools to organize and access them quickly.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Float on your computer. Each license key allows activation on up to 3 machines. You may deactivate a machine at any time to free up an activation slot.

Trial

Float includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial expires, the app continues to work with limited features. Purchase a license to restore full access.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble Float
Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the application
Share, publish, or transfer your license key to others
Use Float for any unlawful purpose

Payments

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. A Float license is a one-time purchase of $19 that includes all future updates.

If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

Intellectual property

Float, including its source code, design, and documentation, is owned by BluffWorks LLC. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited license described above.

Disclaimer

Float is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BluffWorks LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Float. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate these terms. You may stop using Float at any time. Deactivating your license on a machine frees up your activation slot for use on another device.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Float after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes, we will notify existing customers by email.
